Inclusion Makes the World More Vibrant

The 3min viral film celebrating International Day for People with a Disability

The Task

AbilityLinks is a free, government-funded program that supports people with disability, their families and carers. AbilityLinks wanted to raise awareness of their brand in the disability sector without ‘advertising itself.’ Rather than make a straight forward promotional video they wanted to create a piece of content that promoted inclusion and by doing so, aligned it’s brand to an important message.

The Strategy

We wanted to voice the message that inclusion is for everyone, not just people with a disability and that inclusion makes the world a better place for all and align AbilityLinks to a universal message that is relevant to all. By creating a relevant and emotionally evocative message we would create a supporting social media campaign around it to attract views, shares and likes.

The Brilliant Idea

We created a three minute short film with viral qualities to be shared on social media and launched on December 3rd, international Day of People with a Disability to help the film get as much traction as possible.  On December third we launch the film at Event cinemas George Street where it played before every movie session on the day. We also simultaneously launched the film on social media and implemented a social media strategy with supporting content such as GIFs, blogs, behind the scenes videos, interviews and opinion pieces.

“The whole team at Taste captured our vision and values for this project creating a body of work which was everything we hoped for and more.”

The Outcome

Inclusion Makes the World More vibrant was an instant viral sensation racking up 100k views on Facebook in five days. The film has been viewed over 150,000 times online, has been shared 410 times, and liked, loved and wowed by over 600 people from all over the world. Excitingly the numbers continue to increase each week.

150,000+ video views online.
