Our purpose is to help organisations that exist to help other people
To be truly purpose-led is all about improving the life of somebody else. Not selling them something that they don’t really need, but actually helping them.
As storytellers, we help you communicate the stories that really matter, in a way that people actually care about.
Stories that inspire
Henry & Genevieve
Taste Creative was started when just friends at the time, Henry and Genevieve met over a shared passion for great storytelling.
Set up in a small room off the side of Genevieve’s bedroom in Sydney's Inner West, Taste was formed in 2010 with just enough space to squeeze in two Ikea desks.
Today we produce human-centred stories for amazing purpose-led organisations all around the world. We have seen countless lives changed not just through the stories told, but in the way that they get told.
And to keep them extra busy, they are now the parents of beautiful twins, Monet and Everest.
Taste Creative high quality film production inclusive film filmmaking
Genevieve is a writer and director who has won over fifty awards, nationally & internationally for directing and facilitating inclusively made films. Her projects have been screened at the United Nations, various Oscar Qualifying film festivals and have been used as part of the Australian High School Curriculum. She is an advocate and international speaker on the topic of inclusion in the film industry.
In 2015 she was named the NSW Young Australian of the Year for her pioneering efforts to create a more equitable film industry. Genevieve’s work has pioneered change in the film industry when it comes to authentic casting and inclusion in the filmmaking practice, evidenced in the 500 (and counting) employment and work experience placements on professional film sets for people living with intellectual disability.
Henry Smith is one of those rare creative folks who can switch from creativity and ideation to logistics and screen business with the elegance of those fancy quick costume change acts. With a background in directing, producing and cinematography, he is an award winning, multidisciplinary director and producer.
Henry has also directed and produced campaigns and branded content for a range of great organisations including Sesame Street, Google, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, P&O Cruises, the Australian Government and Australia Post. His ability to scale up and lead teams to produce premium content and campaigns is reflected in his recognition when he received the Optus Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2018.
From day one we have been passionate about empowering people from marginalised communities to both be better reflected in the stories being told, and in the way that they are created behind the scenes.
That’s why in partnership with our sister company, Bus Stop Films, we created Inclusively Made.
Trusted by some of the biggest brands around the globe, we train, consult and produce inclusively made content to see inclusion at the forefront of every story being told.
